Editorial Requirements
Articles/Whitepapers
StormwaterAuthority.org is an on-line resource to help stormwater professionals make informed decisions about stormwater. The site offers comprehensive articles, news, whitepapers and current information on the stormwater industry.
By writing an article for StormwaterAuthority, you are helping the stormwater community meet its goal of generating and disseminating fresh ideas and information for the benefit of all professionals making stormwater management decisions.
TYPES OF SUBMISSIONS/EDITORIAL REQUIREMENTS
Please select the type of material to submit to StormwaterAuthority to publish.
Library Papers & Whitepapers
Articles and technical whitepapers about or related to stormwater, whether it is engineering, management, methodologies, treatment, planning, science or other topics relative to the industry are acceptable. Each article submitted is reviewed by the editorial committee before posting.

LENGTH - Recommended length is approximately 2500-4000 words. Please provide a 300-500 word abstract of the article or whitepaper. Illustrative materials are optional.

CONTENT - Mentions of brand named products or services may be edited and replaced with the generic term to fit the type of product or service at the discretion of the editor.

PHOTOS
- Submit photos at 72 dpi
- Photos should be no larger than 173 x 221 pixels
- Photos should be in .jpeg format. Logos in .gif format.

Press Releases
Send all unsolicited press releases through the contact form of StormwaterAuthority. In the subject line, please type Press Release following by the company name. Include the company name, release headline, date, and contact number. If photos are include, please adhere to the following standards:

News Stories & Articles - Published on home page
All news stories should be emailed to the editor with “Article” written in the subject matter field, followed by a 100-200 word summary of the story, contact information including phone number.

Letters to the Editor
Original opinions responding to an article published on StormwaterAuthority.org or commenting on a current topic on stormwater are encouraged. Length is approximately 200-300 words. References and illustrative materials are optional. Letters are published at the discretion of the editor and are subject to editing.
Letter to the Editor
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HARD COPY AUTHORS
Occassionally, StormwaterAuthority will accept hard copies of papers and documents to review for publishing. Below are the requirements for submission. Please contact the editor before sending any materials through the contact form.
Format
- Manuscripts must be double spaced on one side of 8.5-inch x 11-inch paper. Tables and figure legends must also be in this format.
- Corresponding author’s name, title, organization/group, accreditations, address, and contact information (phone, fax, email address) should be on the front page.
- Please send the article on diskette or CD, or through electronic mail as an attached file. Either way, please save the text as a Word or PDF document or powerpoint presentations. Documents sent that are not readable or in another format may not be readable and therefore not selected for publishing.
- References should be listed on a separate page.
Images/Photos/Illustrations
- All images must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch).
- Please save images in the following format: JPEG, EPS or GIF
- Please send all images on disc or CD and attach a print of each image sent
